Guide - Transitioning from Meetio to Logitech Sync booking software > 1. Prerequisites
1.1 Licensing and Account Requirements
To use the Room and Desk Booking services in Logitech Sync you’ll need Logitech Services Licenses that support the booking features as well as a Logitech Sync Portal account to enable and manage the services.
- At minimum, you’ll need Essentials licenses for Rooms and/or Desks depending on your company’s needs. Please visit Logitech Services Plans or reach out to your Logitech Reseller for more information.
- Once you’ve established your licenses, you’ll need a Sync Portal account if you don’t have one already. Go to https://sync.logitech.com/sign-up/account to sign up.
- To ensure your Services account is established correctly, we’ve prepared this quick start guide to walk you through the process.
- For an in depth Sync Admin Guide and extensive help content, visit the Sync support page here.
1.2 Guidelines and Other Considerations
What happens with my current Meetio Room/Desk Data?
Unfortunately, data from your current Meetio implementation will not be migrated automatically to Logitech Sync. But don’t worry, the guide below will help you get everything set up in Logitech Sync.
Compatible Logitech Hardware:
- For Room Booking
- Tap Scheduler
- Roommate (to display maps)
- For Desk Booking
- Logi Desk Flex
1.3 Understanding Building Hierarchy
Initial setup for Logitech Room Booking is very similar to Meetio Room/View setup. If you are already using Logitech Sync for room device(s) management and/or Logitech Desk Booking, setup of Room and Desk Booking will be even easier as inventory and hierarchy layout(s) are shared between device management, Logitech Room Booking and Desk Booking.
| Software | Desk Hierarchy | Room Hierarchy | Setup Image Example |
| Meetio | site -> building -> floor ->workspace -> desk | site -> building -> floor -> area -> desks | |
| Logitech | site -> building -> floor -> area -> desks | site -> building -> floor -> area -> desks |
